Abstract

The Zareki-R is an assessment recognized internationally; its validity was realized in different countries (Germany, Portugal, Greece, France, and Algeria). It is used widely in the area of mathematical assessment and screening of developmental dyscalculia. The aim of this second study is to establish the first normative data for the Zareki-AR-R in Algeria, on a population of 278 children (147 boys and 131 girls) aged between 6-11 years and 6 months, and schooled from the first grade to the fifth grade in elementary school. The results confirm the development of culture-specific normative data for the school-aged children population. Otherwise, the application of Zareki-Arabic Revised-Version allowed identifying 2.87 % of Algerian children aged between 8-10 years, which showed persistent dyscalculia disorder over time (over 12 months).
